What Is High-Efficiency (HE) Laundry Detergent?
High-efficiency (HE) refers to laundry detergent that is specially formulated and concentrated in order to effectively wash clothing and linens with a smaller amount of water than classic detergents. This Member's Mark Liquid Laundry detergent also creates less bubbles (known as "sudsing"). Less bubbles in your washing machine mean that your load requires less water to be rinsed. High-efficiency laundry detergents typically should only be used in compatible, high-efficiency washers. How do you tell that a liquid detergent is rated for high-efficiency washers?
