Caribbean Food Delights Curry Chicken Patties are pastries made with various types of fillings, seasoned with exotic Jamaican spices and herbs. The filling is wrapped in a flaky pastry shell, and its physical characteristics are similar to a turnover or an empanada. Patty, as it is called in Jamaica, is the country’s number one fast food staple and is equally as popular as a hot dog, pizza, hamburger or tacos in the United States. A patty crust is traditionally filled with ground beef, but over the years a wide variety of other delightful meat and vegetable fillings are used. Jamaican Style Curry Chicken Patties are filled with chicken meat seasoned with a blend of spices and fused with curry enclosed in a light yellow, flaky, pastry crust.
