To microwave, do not puncture or open steam bag before heating. Gently massage package to break apart vegetables. Place steam bag with frozen mixed vegetables in microwave oven. Microwave on high. For lower wattage ovens (less than 1100W), cook on high for 6 minutes or until the product reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. For high wattage ovens (greater than 1100W), cook on high for 4 minutes. During cooking, the bag will slowly inflate as the steam forms. A whistling sound may be heard as the steam escapes through the vent in the bag. After cooking, remove the bag from the microwave and let stand 1 minute. Carefully open the bag and pour vegetables from the bag. Serve and enjoy! Microwave cooking times may vary depending on the particular appliance used.
If you prefer to cook the vegetables on the stovetop, bring 1/4 cup water to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan. Add contents of bag and return to boil. Reduce heat to medium; cover and boil gently for 4-5 minutes or until tender; stir once during cooking time. Drain and serve.
For food safety and quality, cook to a temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
