These Nissin Cup Noodles, Beef Flavor contain no MSG. MSG is a common food additive and is short for monosodium glutamate. The food additive is added to foods, like beef cup noodles, to enhance flavor. MSG enhances a food's flavor by adding a more savory, meaty flavor to foods that's commonly called 'umami.' Umami is considered the fifth flavor of food, besides salty, sour, sweet and bitter. An example of essentially pure umami flavor would be to eat a warm, juicy steak or to take a bite out of a freshly warmed portobello mushroom.

To make your instant beef cup noodles, all you have to do is boil water and add it to the fill line inside of the Nissin Noodles cup. Then close the lid on the cup and let it rest for three minutes. After three minutes, stir the cup noodles and enjoy.
